Aqua is a mobile Bitcoin wallet developed by JAN3 that supports both Bitcoin and the Liquid Network. This tutorial shows you how to export your Liquid CT (Confidential Transaction) descriptor, which allows you to receive payments on the Liquid Network using Bitcoin POS without exposing your private keys.
Open Settings
From the main Aqua wallet screen, tap the Settings icon in the bottom navigation bar. You'll see your Savings Account (Bitcoin) and Spending Accounts (L-BTC and Tether) on this screen.
Navigate to Watch-Only
In the Settings menu, find the Advanced Settings section and tap on Watch-Only. This feature allows you to export your wallet's public information without exposing your private keys.
Select Liquid Wallet
On the Export Watch-Only Wallet screen, you'll see options for both Bitcoin and Liquid. Tap on Liquid (Nested SegWit) to generate the CT descriptor for your Liquid wallet.
Copy the Descriptor
Your Liquid CT descriptor will be displayed as both a QR code and text. Tap the copy button next to the descriptor text to copy it to your clipboard. You can now paste this descriptor into Bitcoin POS to receive Liquid payments.
Security Note
The CT descriptor is a watch-only credential that allows you to generate receiving addresses and monitor your balance. It does not contain your private keys, so sharing it with Bitcoin POS is safe and will not give anyone the ability to spend your funds.
